TITI Phase 2 “Train the Trainers” workshop for North Zone 8-9 March 2014 New Delhi
TITI (Transforming Indians to Transform India) is a three-phase nation-wide movement with the aim of spreading the message of individual transformation and thereby ensuring collective transformation of the country. The underlying theme of the movement is “My Transformation Transforms Nation”. The first phase of this movement comprised of a national quiz based on a book which contained 7 stories each covering one aspect of transformation – namely Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Cultural, Patriotic, Spiritual and Universal Outlook. Around 5 lakh families took part in the quiz. The second phase, which has just started, consists of workshops based on the 7 aspects of transformation. These workshops will be conducted by trained people in various schools, colleges, institutions, offices, societies, clubs and other places so as to reach out to a maximum number of people with the message of transformation. In order to prepare trained people who will further go and conduct the seminars, AICHYK (All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) North Zone conducted its first “Train the Trainers” seminars at Chinmaya Mission New Delhi. This workshop was attended by around 75 people from all over North India – there were participants from Noida, Delhi, Jhansi, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Barmer, Bhopal, Amritsar, Roorkee, Rewa and Meerut. Among the Acharyas, we had Swami Chidrupanandaji – the Director of AICHYK for North Zone, Swami Nikhilanandaji – Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission NCR (National Capital Region), Swami Raghavanandaji – Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bhopal, Br. Visharad Chaitanya ji – Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Jodhpur, Br. Kaushik Chaitanya ji – Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Lucknow and Brni. Gargi Chaitanya ji – Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Jhansi. The venue for the workshop was the Chinmaya Mission centre at 89, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The event was spread over two days – 8th and 9th March 2014. It was inaugurated by Pujya Swami Nikhilanandaji who spoke on the importance of individual transformation. On the first day, four aspects of transformation, namely Patriotic, Intellectual, Physical and Emotional were covered while the remaining three aspects – Cultural, Spiritual and Universal Outlook were studied on the second day. Our trainers were three young and dynamic Chyks from Chennai – Santosh, Praveen and Santosh Jr with Chyk Akash Nair pitching in for one session. They conveyed the ideas of the transformation aspects very well with the help of powerful aids like PowerPoint presentations, videos and games. The sessions were interactive and informative. The activities conducted by the presenters ensured that everyone was alert and involved, especially during the sessions immediately after lunch! On each day, the participants formed groups and discussed how to take the TITI movement forwards at their local centres. Everyone was inspired to conduct as many seminars as possible. Most of the centers decided to organize similar “Train the Trainers” workshops in their respective places so that more trainers would be available for the seminars. A few persons volunteered to translate the TITI book into Hindi – this would help us to reach out to those Indians who are far more comfortable in Hindi as compared to English. When each individual transforms, the nation as a whole is naturally transformed. We hope that we are able to inspire maximum number of people with this initiative of TITI and help them in their process of transformation. It will be a fitting tribute to our Pujya Gurudev during his birth centenary celebrations. All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra North Zone April 2014
