Around 500 parents in different parts of Mumbai attended Transformation workshops on Sunday, December 7, 2014. The trainers were Vatsal Sharma, Deepak Khanna, S. Aravind Raghvan, Rajesh Ramanujan and Anaghaa Venugopal who took emotional and patriotic transformation workshops. It was very much appreciated. The parents did feel that these workshops on transformation are the need of the hour.

The Vice- Principal said that she would include the stories of the TITI book as part of the annual functions in her school. Indeed a great experience!

900! Yes 900 students of DJ Doshi Gurukul at Ghatkopar attended four emotional transformation workshops in batches of 250, 250, 200 and 200 on 27th November, 2014. 18th November, 2014, JB Khot High School and Junior College, four Emotional and four Patriotic Transformation workshops
On the 18th Of November, 2014, 500 students participated in this national movement to get transformed and transform others. Three parallel workshops on emotional level were conducted by Trainers Rakesh Gupta, Geetha Raghavan and Shivani Vartak for std 9th students. Three parallel workshops were conducted by trainers Sriram Sankar, Sandhya Surve and Mitesh Nair for Std 8th students. Two workshops on Emotional and Patriotic levels were then conducted for junior college students by trainers Shivani Vartak, Aravind Raghavan and Mitesh Nair. The school faculty really appreciated the whole team and the theme. The Trustee of the school gave a thumbs up and congratulated us.

18th October, 2014, Arya Gurukul School, Patriotic, Spiritual and Cultural Transformations
As part of the week long celebrations of Masti ki Pathshaala , three TITI workshops were held at Arya gurukul School Kalyan on Saturday, 18th October,2014. The levels covered during the day were Patriotic, Spiritual and Cultural Transformations. The coordination and volunteering work for the three sessions was done by Pooja Jain.
The first session on Patriotic Transformation was conducted by trainers Tapan Parikh & Sriram Sankar. With quizzes, interesting videos and various other interactive activities, the trainers conveyed he essence of patriotism to the children. The emphasis was not only on loving the country but also expressing that love through the right actions. Several examples of inspiring personalities were given to drive home this point.
Trainers S.Aravind and Sandhya Rajesh conducted the next session on spiritual Transformation. The importance of spiritual transformation and the meaning of spirituality were conveyed through simple and interesting examples. Concepts like a calm mind is a happy mind, the need to integrate the personality etc. was explained through activities. The three integrating paths of work, devotion and knowledge were also explained through stories and examples so that the children could understand them easily.
The concluding session on Cultural transformation was taken by trainers Geetha Raghavan and Sandhya Rajesh. Despite being the third session in the same day, the children showed good concentration and the trainers also kept up their interest through activities and stories. The importance of culture, specialty of Indian culture, significance of Namaste etc. was conveyed in the session. The teachers of Arya Gurukul as well as the Principal Mr.Srinivasan appreciated the efforts of Chinmaya Mission and felicitated the trainers. It was truly a memorable session for both the students and the trainers.

17th October, 2014, Arya Gurukul School Kalyan, Emotional, Intellectual & Universal Transformation
On the 17th of October, we conducted TITI workshops in Arya Gurukul, Kalyan- The first Chinmaya Vision school in Mumbai. There were around 160 students from Grade 7 and 8. The students were introduced to the movement by Sriram Sankar.
Further three modules were covered- Emotional transformation, Intellectual Transformation and Universal outlook. The trainers were- Pooja Jain, Shivam Bapat,Sriram Sankar and Shivani Vartak.Each session went on for about 90 minutes, except for Universal Outlook. This module was the last one for the day and was covered in a span of 30 minutes. The students actively took part in the sessions and they also enquired about the TITI book. The school being a Chinmaya Vision school, the students were already well acquainted with the Mission and it’s motto . On being asked to repeat the last line of the pledge, all of them loudly recited the entire pledge in one voice.
The facilitators got the opportunity to interact with the Principal Mr. Srinivasan over breakfast where he appreciated them and expressed his joy on seeing youngsters serving for this noble cause. They also enjoyed a delicious meal prepared lovingly by the kitchen staff of the school.

The titi workshops conducted by a dynamic team of yuva Kendra members and a few senior mission members is on a roll. We recently managed to conduct a transformation workshop on emotional transformation at our very own powai ashram on the occasion of preliminary round of geeta chanting competition of powai zone. As the kids were in the zone of the competition, we thought of getting the parents in the zone of being a transformed indian. The session was conducted by by Yuva Kendra members Deepak and Aravind. Both of them pulled off the session amazingly and the main aim of conveying the message of, ” Being emotionally at peace” was reached. The parents did feel the need to emotionally change themselves for a better understanding of the family and the society.
27th September, 2014, Chandrabhan Sharma college, Patriotic Transformation
An iTransform workshop on Patriotic Transformation was held at the Chandrabhan Sharma College for the BCom students on 27th September. The session was conducted by S.Aravind and Sriram Sankar and was attended by about 200 students and a few teachers. Sandhya Rajesh, Geetha Raghavan, Deepak Khanna and Tapan Parikh were also present to help conduct the session. The session began with the lighting of the lamp by the Vice-Principal Mrs.Pratima Singh as well other faculty members. The speakers were welcomed by the NSS faculty in-charge Mrs.Vaishali Jadhav and the session began with the inspirational TITI video. Different aspects of patriotism were explained through the acronym ACT. The importance of being patriotic as well as how one can contribute towards the country was explained by both the speakers. The audience also participated in the discussion wholeheartedly. The session concluded with the national anthem video shot in the backdrop of the Siachen glacier which was very inspiring. At the end of the session, Prof.Vaishaliji thanked Chinmaya Mission for conducting the workshop and expressed her desire for holding more such sessions in the future. Report of Emotional Transformation workshop conducted by CA Amar Shukla at WIRC, ICAI building, BKC on the 26th Sept,2014.
On the 26th September, 2014, CA Amar Shukla conducted a workshop on Emotional Transformation for the staff members of WIRC (Western India Regional Council) at ICAI (the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India)building, BKC, Mumbai. This was the first round of Emotional Transformation workshop wherein 13 out of 70/80 members of WIRC participated. Likewise, the Emotional Transformation workshop will be conducted for theremaining members on every friday of the upcoming months. The session started at 3:30 p.m. and went on for two hours. CA Amar could keep the audience engrossed in the session very well. The participation of the audience was also appreciative as they were attentive and receptive in the entire workshop. They even said that they want to attend the session again and want more time to understand better. Feedback forms were given to each participant entailing details like Name, contact number, email id, feedback etc. The response has been overwhelming from both the participants as well as Mr. Shetty, the senior officer at WIRC. One of the participant even messsaged Amar ji that Chinmaya Mission is doing a great job and that each individual should attend the workshops. Also, 50 TITI books were delivered at the venue to distribute to the staff members which was propagated by CA Amar ji. At the end, the participants approached the Trainer to thank him and also seemed very happy to have attended the workshop. That was the emotion(happiness) they carried back after the Emotional Transformation workshop!!

13th September, 2014, Marol Education Academy, Cultural Transformation
An iTransform workshop on Cultural Transformation was held at the Marol Education Academy on 13th September for the junior college students. The session was conducted by S.Aravind and Geetha Raghavan and was attended by about 220 students and a few teachers. Sandhya Rajesh and Kruti Doshi were also present to help conduct the workshop. The sessions were inaugurated by the Faculty in charge Mr.Sekar and the trainers were felicitated by the student representatives. The session began with the video showing how transformation of individuals led to the transformation of the whole society which created a positive impact on the audience. The importance of knowing the basis of culture as well as following it in our daily lives was brought out by both the speakers. The audience also participated in the discussion wholeheartedly. At the end of the session, the student representative began the vote of thanks with a Namaste which was well received by everyone present. The faculty in charge also felt that the content of the session was interesting as well as very useful for the students. 28th August, 2014, Marol Education Academy, Emotional Transformation
Two sessions on Emotional Transformation were held at the Marol Education Academy on the 28th of August. The first session was addressed to the 9th and 10th standard students by Vatsal Sharma from 7.30 to 9.00 while the second session was conducted by Geetha Raghavan and Sandhya Rajesh for the 7th and 8th standard students from 11.00 to 12.30. Both sessions saw participation of about 300 students and a few teachers. The sessions were inaugurated by the Principal Mrs.Usha Nair and the trainers were felicitated by the school captains. The sessions were entertaining and informative and the students participated with a lot of enthusiasm. The essence of the transformation was brought out through the acronym PEACE. Some students shared incidents from their own lives where they could have applied the various tips given out to manage our emotions. Vatsal asked the students to express their gratitude to all the people who gave them service including school bus drivers, newspaper delivery men and so on. This point was well taken by the audience present. After the session many students approached Sandhyaji and Geetaji to discuss some of their personal issues as well as to thank them for the session. The Principal also felt that this kind of knowledge was generally missing from the academic curriculum and was needed by the students to tackle their problems. -Compiled by S.Aravind

A TITI session was held in N.D.Bhuta High School & Jr. college premises on the 9th of August on Patriotic transformation. It was held for the students of 11th and 12th standard by Aravind with help from Rajesh & Geetaji. After a brief introduction and felicitation of the trainers, the session began at around 10 in the morning. As Aravind was an Alumnus of the same institution it was easier to establish a connection with the audience. Around 210 students along with the principal of the Junior college were present for the session. The students participated in the session with a lot of enthusiasm and it was heartening to see that many of them had a vision for the country. They not only gave out suggestions for improving the country but also expressed their willingness to be part of the change. Stories of inspiring personalities like Chanakya and Dashrath Manjhi were very well received by the audience. After the session concluded, the principal of the Jr. college thanked Chinmaya mission for coming up with this national project and expressed willingness to conduct similar sessions in the future. -Compiled by S.Aravind
2nd August, 2014, Jhunjhunwala college, Patriotic Transformation
The patriotic transformation session which had earlier been conducted for third year BSc. students was repeated for first and second year students. This session took place on the 2nd of August in the afternoon slot. About 110 students took part in the session which was conducted by Aravind with help from Vatsal and Rajesh. The session which began with a quiz about Indian Monuments and Indian personalities proceeded to cover different aspects of patriotism. Enthusiastic participation from the audience really lifted the mood of the session and the willingness of the students to contribute towards national development was clearly seen. As a concluding part the national anthem was played accompanied by visuals of the soldiers in Siachen which filled the hall with patriotic fervor. After the first session on Patriotic Transformation, a second session on Intellectual transformation was held on the 26th of July for Third year Bsc. Students. The session was conducted by Aravind and was ably assisted by Vatsal and about 60 students formed the audience. The session began with the need for developing Right thinking in order to live a contended and successful life. It went on to emphasize the need to find out one’s Swadharma and a questionnaire was given to help them reflect on the same. The ideas were reinforced with examples from the lives of inspiring personalities. The video talk of one such personality Anand Kumar drew spontaneous applause from the audience. The students expressed their gratitude to both the Trainers as well as Chinmaya Mission for presenting these ideas to them. After the session concluded, many students interacted with the trainers regarding career and other issues concerning them. On the 19th of July, 2014, CHYK Mumbai representatives & TITI trainers went to Jhunjhunwala College in Ghatkopar to give a presentation of Patriotic Transformation. This talk was part of the second phase of the Transforming Indians to Transform India movement, which entails seminars and presentations in schools, colleges and corporate houses. A lively audience of about 100 students from third year BSc background welcomed them warmly. The speakers, Aravind Raghavan and Sriram Sankar, both trained in the patriotic Transformation level, were excellent in delivery, content and the way they handled the target audience. Their workshop was insightful, interesting and inspiring. The facts and figures about the glory of India past, and her latent glory that needs youth to wake up and get going, was charging, to say the very least. And I’m sure every student walking out of that hall, thought to themselves ‘I can for my country’

27th June, 2014, Hitech Plast Ltd, Physical Transformation
The first session of TITI was conducted by Ms Akshata Mallya on 27th June, 2014 at the head office of Hitech Plast Ltd in Lower Parel. Around 90 people attended this corporate workshop including the senior management. Akshata gave a wonderful delivery of speech and kept the audience completed involved throughout the session with a good level of interaction. She gave practical tips on how to maintain good health and also suggested some desk exercises that can be performed in the office. It was interesting to see people of different age groups listening with so much of interest and actively participating. Akshata received an overwhelming response from the audience. After the session, the managing director of the company gave an overview of the TITI tranining sessions that Chinmaya Mission conducts and encouraged the audience to be a part of it. The feedback forms collected thereafter indicated that the audience was benefitted from the session and that they wanted similar sessions to be conducted in the future. Post the session, the entire atmosphere was filled with an aura of positivity with some of the people discussing about yoga and lifestyle changes and some of them approaching the speaker to appreciate her efforts. - Compiled by Sweta Pillai
